Last Monday at Rally House / Kansas Sampler Oak Park in Lenexa; several KC Royals players, coaches, and broadcasters gathered together to benefit the Gloves for Kids program from Royal’s broadcaster Ryan Lefebvre. The event collected donations to benefit local Kansas City youth to play and enjoy the game of baseball. For those fans that donated $25, they were treated to autographs and photos with players and coaches from the Kansas City Royals.Players attending included Whit Merrifield, Hunter Dozier, Drew Butera, Paulo Orlando, Matt Strahm, Manager Ned Yost, announcer Rex Hudler, and more.
More Than a Game
In attendance were also several youth that have benefited from the program, thanking individuals and players for their time and donations. Since 2001, the annual event has collected over $120,000 for new baseball equipment to help more underprivileged kids enjoy the sport of baseball in Kansas City.
Rally House is honored to be a part of this amazing event that benefits the lives of so many children in the Kansas City area. For those unable to attend, you are still able to make a donation to Royals Charities online, but also stay tuned for next year’s event!
