Looking Back on an Eventful 2022 NCAA Women’s College World Series
As the Super Smash Sooners glided through the 2022 Women’s College World Series finals and clinched their sixth title, there were several impressive achievements along the way. For instance, the Sooners averaged an astounding 10 runs per game, absolutely dominating their opponents almost every time. Additionally, OU is now tied with Florida for the most runs ever in a WCWS game. The team even broke the WCWS record for most home runs in game one, smashing 6 out of the park.
Two of the six bombs in game one were from record-holder and two-time USA Softball Player of the Year, Jocelyn Alo. The Home-Run Queen was on fire in the second game too, giving fans even more to cheer for.
